Hi I hope you don't mind me posting here? I'm not sure where else to post...I've been told I will have to have a section at hopefully 37 weeks but could very easily be 36 due to my health complications. I have a fractured spine that is causing terrible pain & also a pacemaker - on top of this I have low fluid!

So my question...how heavy do you think bubs will be? Do I need to buy tiny clothes? Is he likley to be in special care? Also in worried about breathing issues and whether I will be able to breast feed.

Generally I'm now worried sick! I appreciate you ladies have had earlier babies and I'm hoping you could give me some advice.

Thanks in advance!!

I would think everything should be absolutely fine by that point. I'm not sure about LO's weight but Sophie was born at 27 weeks and she had IUGR - she was 5lbs 6oz when she came home at 39+1. She was very small all along though.

BF shouldn't be an issue, Sophie was tube fed EBM till she reached 36 weeks and then she started BF at that point.

I have friends who had their babies at 34-35 weeks and they didn't need to go to special care at all so fingers crossed your LO should be ok.

My friend had a planned section at 37 weeks and her LO was 7lbs 3oz and came straight home, so I wouldn't have thought that extra week would make too much difference.

Let us know how everything goes - good luck, I'm sure everything will be absolutely fine xxx

Thank you do much for the info and I'm so pleased so Lo is doing well! She looks gorgeous in the pics :)

Aw thank you - she's changed a lot since then, I really should get some updated ones! x
