37 & ttc #2

5 years later and I am here again. I am 37 and my boyfriend and I have decided to start trying for #2. I had 3 miscarriages before I had my daughter so I'm hoping things go smoothly this time around.

I have just started keeping track of my periods and such. They have always been irregular. Would love to chat :wave:

I'm on cycle #4, had a chemical in July and nothing since. My cycle is also irregular, usually 29-31 days but can be up to 35 and, very randomly, the last one was 50 days. As if there wasn't enough waiting around with this ttc business already!!!

Both I and hubby are 38 and DD is five.

Ya we both just kinda decided. We have been NTNP for awhile though..lol. I just again charting and really trying.

I'm using fertility friend app and OPKs but not temping. How far along are you with your cycle? I'm cd15 and I usually ovulate cd17-18 although it can be later as well thanks to my irregular cycle.

I am temping and also using FF. My cycles are usually 30 to 31. I will just keep an I on my tempo and go from there

I suppose I should really temp to confirm ovulation as my cycles are irregular, but my nights are just too restless for that. DD still wakes up every so often at nights and I'm always the one to attend to her, and on work days my alarm goes off at 5.30am, no way would I start waking up that time during the weekends as well just to temp.

Saying that I'm not sure what's going on again, OPKs are still negative but getting lots of O symptoms. I hope I'm not ovulating too soon as my hubby is ill so any BD is out of the question at the moment. Which cycle day are you now?

Hi holliems how were your other cycles? Did you get o symptoms or even pregnancy symptoms? I had a chemical back in July but nothing since, although was convinced I was preggers in August and slightly less convinced last month but nothing.

Advanced maternal age is just a number, doesn't mean anything or so I keep telling myself!!

Last cycle Im not sure if I Oed. I didnt get any O symptoms. At the end of the cycle I got super faint bfps on two brands but I dont think they were anything but evaps. I have high hopes this month. Im pulling out all the stops! Preseed, Softcups (if I can find any!), more sex and Ive cut caffine a lot.

Do you think caffeine makes a big difference with ttc? I've cut down a lot but still need my morning latte and sometimes a cup of coffee after lunch as well.

I'm so bummed about the coffee. I cut back to every other day. today is not a coffee day.

Im not sure how much of a difference it makes. I used to drink energy drinks and Mt. Dew...a lot of energy drinks. Ive cut them out completely. Instead, I have two cups of coffee in the mornings so I dont get headaches.

I were to not drink coffee during the day i def would get headaches. I need at least 2 a day. Morning and Afternoon.

I used a softcup today. Wasn't hard getting it in position. I have yet to try and get it out. I can't feel it at all! So far ..and it's been about 3 hours, nothing has come out. I definitely recommend them!

I ordered some soft cups as well but they only arrived after I o'ed. Will try them next cycle if things don't work out this month. Might also try them with AF.

Want2beamom they're these disposable cups for AF, same principle as with mooncup I suppose, just soft. Some people have successfully used them with ttc by putting them in after BD to keep the spermies in.

So if someone can please help me. My ticker says i should be ovulating in 7 days, but then my chart says i will be in like 4 days....i am guessing i should probably trust FF?

I tried looking at your chart. It took me to mine. FF said I Oed Friday. Gave me crosshairs today. Seems kinda early since Friday was only cd12.
