37 weeks, measuring 33. growth scan tomorrow!!

saw my midwife today and fundal height is measuring 4cm under.
have an appointment tomorrow at anc for growth scan and second opinion. babys head is engaged, her heartbeat is fine, my pee sample and blood pressure is fine but i cant help but be a little worried.
anybody had anything similar? xxx

Sorry didn't want to read and run - I measure over and have to have scans, and I get scared as well. All I can say is that every woman is different and fundal height measurment isn't an exact science. Try not to worry too much x

Fundal height isn't exact science as pp said, you could just be having a small baby as babies weights all vary. Keep us updated x

Hugs-try not to worry easier said than done i know!.If baby is engaged that will make the fundal measurement lower too.Had growth scans with most of mine but the estimate was always out by a fair bit-my 5th they said around 5.5lbs,,,she was born 3 days later 7lb 4-my 6th they said under 6lbs,,he was born 3 days later 8lb 1!

Its good they are sending you at least you will be reassured but I think the measuring is only a ruough estimate. I got measured 2 weeks ago at 30 cm and they had said my growth was static, I got sent to hospital measure again at 34 and last week again at 35. I think it really varies between the person who measures and where they measure from!

I was measuring 3cm behind and had a growth scan last week and she was fine but have booked me in for a second scan in 2 weeks time just to make sure she's growing. It's just precaution!

thanx for the reasurance girls. personally i think she may just be on the smaller side. ive always been a petite girl and oh is on the smaller side too. will update you all tomorrow anyway. thanx again xxx

UPDATE!!!

went for a growth scan today and second opinion. my baby girl is absolutely fine. estimated at 6lb 9oz a the moment. fundal height is just 2 cm under. AND we got a free scan photo to compensate for a 3 hour wait. so all that worrying, my mind is at rest.

it was quite weird seeing a scan at 37weeks. it was alot clearer than my last one. but of coarse she is bigger now.

but it was really clear. could even see little tooth buds. chris has nicknamed her casper. (she had a big lightbulb head) lol

3weeks to go. cant wait now xxx
