37 wks, 4cm, 70% effaced.

So, I had my 37 weeks appointment today. Im 4cm dilated now 70% effaced. The dr said it should be any day now. But if I make it to my 38 week appointment I am being induced at 39. Think ill make it or go before then? The last two friday nights have been spent admitted in the hospital with contractions that made me dilate more but stalled out when I got tired. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I was dilated to a 4 for about 2 weeks. Unfortunately, it doesn't necessarily mean that you'll be going into labor any time now.

Try doing lots of walking and maybe some nipple stimulation. Sex is also a good option if you're comfortable with it. If labor can be brought on at this point, that should do the trick.

Alright. Thank you so much. I've been going up and down the Shakespeare in the house like crazy. We did try sex. It was just awkward due to large bump

hi i had a sweep at 37 weeks due to complications... i was also 4cm and had been having on off contractions and i still ended up getting induced at 39 weeks so stayed at 4cm for 2 weeks hun.... however when i got to 5cm they broke my waters at 10.50pm and at 11.15pm my little girl arrived so in 15mins i went from 5cm to 10cm and delivered a healthy 9lb baby girl so the advantage is that when labour starts you are already nearly half way there x

Wow. Lord.. I hope it don't start by my water breaking lol!! I live an hour from the hospital I will be giving birth at.
