Thanks for reading my post.
We are trying to have a baby. I am 38 and partner is 33.(his sperm perfect)
I have just had the shocking and devastating news of my blood test results.
AMH: 6.6
FSH: 4.9
I have only seen a GP not a Fertility Specialist but the GP did not sound hopeful. He had a worried look on his face when I saw him.
He said that I might need Clomid but I have heard that can sometimes cause problems with CM and Lining of uterus so it is not always helpful ESPECIALLY in older women at 38 such as mysefl ( I mean old in fertility years
)
Would I even be considered for IVF or IUI with these results?
I cannot afford these anyway so that doesn't matter - so natural with say clomid or something would be our only option.
I do have PCOS but am not really overweight, just seem to have the cosmetic problems, hair on chin and extra hair on body in general, hair loss, do have to watch weight ie with not eating high GI carbs and exercising but otherwise seems to be under control. It is only if I gain weight my cylces start to be long or go missing. My normal cycle is about 32 or 35 days. I have never had a 28 day cycle.
What I would like to know is has anyone here had a NATURAL pregnancy with similar results at age 38 or over? Or is anyone in the same position as me and trying with these results but doing it naturally.
I am so sad now. I really thought AMH would be better. I know I am 38 but did not think I would have such a low egg reserve.
