Well it was cd 1 yest, a long awaited day and my first iui cycle, I am so so excited.. Not doing too well just now in reigning my excitement levels down. Looking for some buddies to share the journey, you don't have to be a first timer..
Im having clomid and gonal f. The journey so far has been rocky for me I have thyroid antibodies and just started thyroxine a month ago to lower tsh levels blood test this week confirms it's come down.
3 early miscarriages likely due to the antibodies.. Let's share the journey.. If you have thyroid issues and or are over 35 please say hello xxx

My dh and I have been ttc for 9 months now - we're going to a fertility doc on March 10 hopefully to schedule an IUI - dh had SA and everything is borderline normal with morph only 7% - I should have o'd today and am excited because this is the first time we've been able to bd on O day since August! I have 3 children from a previous marriage; dh is my 2nd husband and he has no kids. He's good either way, with or without our own kids, but I really love my dh and desperately want to give him a child. The clock is really ticking....

I'm excited to see how your iui goes! How do you feel so far?

Thanks for your reply.. I am the big 4 0 in July.... So older than you!
I am feeling ok so far, I'm day 7 now finished the clomid and have only one injection to do on wednesday, scan on thus and then insemination hopefully on Friday... Apparently at some stage I will feel like my womb will hit the floor!!
This will be my first and dp's second...
When do you hope to start the iui? All the best with it xxxx

So, they've planned your IUI for cd 12? I do not know anything about IUI, except that I'm hoping the doctor will agree to do one for us! Does clomid also make you O earlier?

Good luck quaver for tomorrow!! I have finished my 5 days of clomid and had my last gonal f injection tomorrow. Have a scan tomorrow to count the follicles and hopefully insemination day on Friday.. Holly yes I'll be ovulating earlier with the drugs xxxx

Hi ladies! We are in the same boat. Going for first IUI with next cycle. (should be starting within a week). I was originally diagnosed with severe cervical stenosis and slightly elevate FSH. New FS says may not have stenosis, may have been the timing of the HSG attempt, etc. So - using Femara and trigger shot this round and praying, praying, praying. Hoping we don't go for the IUI and end up really having stenosis and not being able to do it. But..positive thoughts

hi 31 and trying...good luck for next month.
How did today go Quaver?
I went for my scan today and I have 2 follicles on the rigt side again they couldnt see my shy left ovary! My womb lining measured 6.5mm and not the 8mm that they'd prefer so I had another gonal f shot at the clinic and have to have my trigger shot in half an hour. going for the insemination at lunch time tomrrow..! Was so worried about them not seeing the other ovary whether they would abandon the cycle but no they are going to go ahead with it.
have another scan on monday to make sure I've ovulated. and then It'll be the 2ww....
stress..........

Had a little talk with my FS, and he said if not BFP, then I should have a rest next cycle, and go on to IVF (ICSI short protocol) the following cycle

You ladies are so brave! If I am not successful this month, I will be pushing for an IUI...I have a question, if you don't mind answering;

When does the dh give his sample for the IUI? Can they 'keep it on ice' for a few days or does the IUI have to be done right away?

In our case, DH made the sample in the morning of IUI. He did it at home before work, and I took it to the clinic.

I think it is possible to freeze the sample, but some samples won't defreeze OK. Perhaps you could ask?

hey Quaver I'll be testing say around the 11th.... maybe sooner lol!
I'm like that with present opening, I cant resist waiting.
Holly, we had to hand in husbands sample at 08:45, and Iui was at 12:15, I'm not sure about the freezing of sample, you'd need to ask the clinic I think.
The proceedure was over very quickly. I had a heavy cold really from the beginning of taking the meds, so any symptoms could be related to the cold..pretty breezy so far.
will you need to pay for the IUI? Or does your insurance cover it?

Hey Mandy;

No. Unfortunately, my insurance won't cover the cost of the procedure, but it will cover the cost of the meds. The procedure itself is only $275, so considering what I would spend on opk's, hpt's, and preseed, it's really a bargain

I'm so excited to see how you make out with the IUI! It was today, right? Do you know that you already ovulated? It's so exciting!!!

Me too I'm officially testing on the 11th (15DPO), but don't think I could last that long.

On my last IUI I tested at 10dpo, then since it was - I gave up and didn't test and waited for AF

Hi Holly I had the iui yesterday.. I go for a scan on monday to make sure i ovulated.. I have lost my opks so not been using them., how cool and calm am I?! 10 days till testing... Xxxx

Had my scan and I've definitely ovulated. The nurse says I will be due my period on the 10th.. I bought preg test that I can use 5 days before period is due, sod it I'm doing it on sat! Xxxx
