3d/4d scan???

Hey, i have got my 3d/4d scan booked for when i'm 24 weeks pregnant, and would like to know if anyone else has had one to see how it went hehe ? xxx

I believe Desi's_Lost had hers scheduled around then, and baby was too small and very uncooperative! She ended up having to go back at 28 weeks (free of charge) to get any good pictures.

i had one done @ 27wks and 3days in my siggy shes always hiding her face but i have another booked for 32wks!

Vinteenage is correct! lol. If you are only getting one, I would wait. Mostly they only show you the face anyway and the longer you wait the nicer the pictures are. If you are going to have two or more though, go when ever you feel like. Also, from experiance, if they tell you not to have any sugar or caffeine, bring a coke or something with you because I listened the first time and she was dead asleep curled up toward my back.

I had mine done at 24 weeks exactly and I thought mine turned out fine. The pics from it are in my signature, only problem with mine was that my LO is shy and covered her face half the time, lol.

I had one last week at 27 weeks.

Just, wow!!

The consultant was amazing, she checked every inch of baby to make sure he was spot on, they also checked blood flow through heart and cord..it's very throrough. As well as making loads of pics and vid for you.

Baby tends to look a bit battered though, the technology isnt superb, so dont expect a perfect looking baby.

If it can be afforded then it's really worth it.

Where are you girls going where they only show face? That doesnt sound too right to me.

Mine was a full body and organ check, as well as the fun stuff. We were in the over an hour.

She did all sizes, brain work, the whole bloody she-bang, then writes a report which also goes to the GP.

i had a gender scan at 24 weeks and the sonographer showed me her 4d and i thought it was nice her being smaller as i could see her closer with everything in sight if you know what i mean, i think everyone had different preferances

If you go to a private place, they cant tell you anything medical. Its strictly elective. I had my anomaly scan at 18 weeks where they did all of the medical things (at my doctors office). Every place is different and there are different laws everywhere.

Ours certainly did. I have a full medical report in front of me, and it was sent to my GP aswell. Then she did the fun stuff. It was a private practice also.

You're in the UK, so the laws must be different. here you have to sign a waiver and prove you have proper medical care. if they see anything they can tell your doctor, but they arent allowed to say anything to you.

No problem =] US is really weird about 3d/4d scans. I had a doctor ask if it was legal when I asked her about when I should go. lol something about a lot of lawsuits, I think.

Yea mine was just for fun as well, we found out the gender at ours but mostly just saw her face (and her hands covering her face, lol)
