3DPO and spotting... help!

I'm 3dpo and spotting bright red. It only lasted from this morning to afternoon and now it's done. Too early to be implantation bleeding? Too late to be ovulation bleeding? I've felt so bloated for days with on and off random cramping. Although the more I read symptoms, the more I keep telling myself I'm feeling them. This is our first month TTC. Been with DH for 10 years and we are officially ready!

It's hard to tell. You can have all the signs of ovulation and not ovulate. So it could be ovulation or you could have ovulated sooner than you thought. Do you track your cycles?

I used OPK's from CD10-CD20. Got a positive on CD18, then started bright red spotting on CD21/3DPO. I was on BCP for a really long time and got off of it early December. So my body could absolutely still be trying to figure things out. AF came in 34 days last month instead of 28. My calendar is saying that I am still 16 days away from AF, but I have a POAS fetish and I may test on Sunday (7DPO). Is that way too soon?
