3rd degree tear and episitomy question...

I had my lo 8 days ago and feel like the pain will never stop :( its so difficult to sit to feed him and I missed out on doing anything for him the first few days. Also lay in the delivery suite from 7.30pm to 2.30am waiting to go to surgery, but they kept taking emergencies,so I was in a bad way by the time I was fixed, was in theatre 2 and a half hours. It feels so heavy down there, like everythings about to fall out!

Aw Luna, it'll get better :hugs: I know it may feel like it'll never stop but you'll probably be back to normal in no time at all! I'm a bad example as I had a pretty hard time of it and am still suffering a little but people generally do feel better by 4 weeks or sometimes even earlier. :)

thats terrible they left you that long luna. Hugs. Did they tell you what tear you had? I had 4th degree tear and took 3 hours to stitch me up!

i had a look this am - gah what a mess! there were 3 drs stitching me for a good hour - theres quite a lot of black areas - hope its just bruising! mw checking me again on monday - she may ask me to go to day assessment to get checked over by a dr - im still getting green pus when i wipe but the swab came back clear -go figure!?

dh said it looks 1000 times better than it did! i still sit on my ring and cant walk much it hurtso much to do the mammy sway! buts better than it was. have only left the house once to go to drs - glad i can have a section next time if im blessed with a next time!

Hi Luna, so sorry to hear about your experience, i know how you feel about feeling you missed out on the first few days, i was kinda the same, our daughter had to go to Neo Natal so i didnt get to see or hold her until the next day! How are you feeling now?

Hi there, i too have puss when i wipe, i have been on two courses of anti biotics, doctor took swab last week there is no infection either, have no idea what it is! I am back at hospital tomorrow so i'll ask doctor then! Well if i have another baby i'll be having a section, wont be going through this again

Hey, sorry to hear you've had such a bad time.

With my first son, i had a lot of stitches (which hurt more then the birth itself) and it took me 3 months to recover from it. I was very swollen, sore and had that heavy feeling. Sex didn't happen till 3 months because of the discomfort. But the good news is-things will get better.

This time around, i have had less stitches and damage down below, and have healed so much quicker and easier. I am literally back to normal now (6 weeks after birth) and feeling heaps happier.

Hugs. xx
