This time I knew I was having a Csection since my boys were both in breech position. I wish I knew getting my epidural would cause me to have the shivers through my whole section and 1 1/2 hours into recovery. The worst shivers I've ever had! (ask for a warm blanket as soon as you get into recovery if you experience this!)
I am very thankful for my Dr who after 35 years of doing this used the technique which was internal dissolvable staples. Therefore I do not!have to have staples removed at all, and caused the whole nursing staff and even the other Dr who was on duty the day following my surgery to admire my scar and even say it doesn't even look like I had surgery.
Boy do my ab muscles hurt! My Dr also chooses not to cut your abs apart but to pull them apart which causes quicker healing. They do ache A LOT though!
Don't be superwoman and try and avoid using pain management. I caused myself more pain than neccessary by trying to tough it out.
Over all I was very scared to have a Csection and it wasn't as bad as I thought all these years. Thankful for the Dr I had, and I would recommend him to anyone who was looking for a OBGYN in my area!
