I know the medium flow ones are for 3 months + but I totally forgot untill now!

Ava doesnt seem to have any trouble with the slow flow, and I figured if she was BF they dont like... go up a nipple size

and its bloody expensive!! £4 for 2 and I have 18 bottles :dohh:

WHats everyone else done?

xx

We are leaving our guy the way he is until something changes. Your right it's so much money! If it's working for you guys I don't see why you'd change.

Molly's still on Size 1 teats, I have no plan on changing them unless she starts to take forever to change a bottle. I'd say, see how you go.

if your not having any problems id stick with them x

Yeah if she's doing good on them then stick with them. My Ava was having problems with the size ones(slow flow) at 2 month old so we switched to the size 2(Med flow), But i wouldnt have switched if I didnt have too.

Friend of mine never changed from slow flow... they don't need to, depends on the baby :) Making them drink faster could cause more gas, so unless baby is very upset I wouldn't bother switching.

I was told by a lactation consultant that if they can chug the bottle in less than 10 minutes than the flow is too fast. Not sure if it's true or not but I find using a slow teat gives him a lot less gas

i use variflow teats with sophia as she can choose how fast she wants her milk with them i switched to them last week as she was taking about 45mins to drink a bottle and would normaly fall asleep before she finished it. now she only takes 20 minutes to finish and has alot less wind

You will know when it is time to switch, we have just gone up to size 3 teats (6m+) as our Lo had started messing with the teat, taking ages to drink, behaving exactly as he did when he needed the size 2's. Don't worry about the age guidelines, every baby is different!

I tried going up a size but found Macy was sick more, so now I have gone back down to slow flow and this seems to of made a difference, although a little slower, defo less sicky, she is 13 weeks.

i use Variflow too ,have done since LO was 3 weeks as he was getting too tired and not taking much milk :flower:
