4 weeks pregnant I think.........Dr not sure - help

Last Tuesday I had really bad crampish pains (kind of like bad period cramps) then on Wednesday I had a bleed of what I thought was an early period (small amount of blood with a few clots). I didn't bleed anymore so went to my GP as it was unusual for me as my periods are regular 28 days without fail. I explained that I have been trying for a baby for 3 years & did he think it could be an early miscarriage. I did a test at the GP & it was negative. He told me to do another on the day my next period was due. I'd miscalculated my period dates so 2 days ago (Sunday) and Monday I did 3 tests all of them positive . So, back to GP yesterday to advise this & he's said to treat it like I am pregnant but actually it could be a miscarriage & to do another test in 10 days!! I'm terrified. I don't know what to think. I want to be so excited but I can't. IF, & hopefully I am pregnant, I'd be 4 or 5 weeks. Does anyone have any advice? Many thanks all, Beck x

hun try not to worry it sounds like u had implantation bleeding its very common x

Thanks for the response. I actually managed to speak with a midwife today on the early pregnancy assessment unit & she really put my mind at rest. I've been booked in for a 6 week scan in 10 days. She also said for me to do another 1 of those digital pregnancy tests, as if it shows that my number of weeks pregnant has increased, that's also a really good sign. So, I have to wait until Sunday to do that. Fingers crossed. x
