4 year old Angry all the time. :(

I'm taking my son to the Doctors tomorrow to be referred but I could really use some advice.

My son has just started school (He was exactly the same in Preschool also though last year)

While he is at school he's so angry. He will tell children he hates them. He hit one with a tennis racket. He hit a teacher. He will never sit down for song or story time and join in. Just growl and get angry.

He is the only one that doesn't let their parent leave without a fight in the morning

The walk home. If we try and have a talk about it. He hates me. He hit me today in the middle of the shop. Just constantly tells me he doesn't love me, and I'm horrible. Because I've told him no to something

Its almost signs of ADHD but I'm not so sure. He can be really kind and lovely at times!

I'm due in 6 Days and have spent the last week crying about how I can focus on him without him lashing out at me.

Is it just me? Is there anything I can try?

Drs is a good idea to get him checked out. They will be able to refer him to where he needs to go,whether that's counselling or a specialist. Try not to worry yourself too much. All of your children need you and you need to work for their interests. Have you spoken with the school about their recommendations or if they have any advice. Maybe try giving him some positive experiences in the meantime and try to put him at ease so you can talk to him about his feelings. Has he got an area where he can escape to if he gets overwhelmed or away if communicating his feelings like a face chart (you can download tthese i think).

I hope the Dr is helpful and i hope everything goes smoothly for you with the baby too.
