Trying to keep this short as possible...

Myself and my husband have been trying to conceive since September 2010 which has resulted in:

-ectopic pregnancy, May 2011 (treated with methotrexate)
-chemical pregnancy, May 2012
-chemical pregnancy, June 2013
-suspected chemical pregnancy, October 2013

I am a british citizen however living abroad with my foreign husband and was told to seek help from a hospital 4 hours drive away, however a new hospital opened in our area and we have been using a gynecologist here from January 2014.

-We first tried clomid with an hcg trigger which failed.
-I then had laparascopy surgery which showed nothing but a blocked tube which was unblocked during the procedure.
-We then tried Clomid again with an hcg trigger and iui, resulted in another chemical pregnancy.
-Next iui failed.
-Requested blood work and diagnosed with compound heterozygous MTHFR. From now taking low dose asprin, told I would need clexane injections after pregnancy confirmed.
-Next iui cancelled due to follicles too large.
-Next iui with femara, plenty of follicles, another chemical pregnancy.
-Took research into hosital and requested clexane to be taken from cd6 and contained until and after pregnancy confirmed..... Just back today and another chemical pregnancy!!

I am totally lost and my gynecologist keeps telling us that ivf will be the best option, I understand this and we have saved the money to this in northern cyprus in January 2015 however after today's confirmed chemical I am too scared to go ahead with ivf thinking that if MTHFR is my only problem then why did the iui with clexane not work!?! Why will ivf work!?! My emotions are everywhere and I don know where to start...

Anyone else out their have MTHFR and have any success stores to share.
Best wishes to all :flower:

Are you taking 5-MTHF (methylated form of folic acid ) ?. if not you should be.

I'm Hymogenous MTHFR I take methy b6 methyl b12 and 800mg of folate!

I just found out I'm PG and we are still in the beta checking phase hoping for a sticky Lil one!! HTH

Hi: :hi:

Sorry for your losses:hugs:

As far as your blood clotting disorder goes looks to me like it's all covered:thumbup:

Have you tried progesterone? You should take it from BFP or after ovulation since you keep having chemical pregnancies. Some ladies have high NK cells and need steroids and/or intralipids. Until you've tried all of this I wouldn't try IVF because chances are the same thing would happen. Have a look at the recurrent miscarriage thread, lots wonderful ladies there in the same boat as you. You'll find great support :)
