Hi everyone,

I've only just joined after a friend recommending. I'm so enjoying reading everyones stories. Is there an yone who has had similar problems as me and been successful ?
I will be 41 in March, i have PCOS and i'm showing no signs of ovulating on my own. I need to get my bmi down so i have to lose about 1 and a half stone before i will be given the medication. They did origionally assume they'd use clomid but have decided that as my partner and i both have lots and lots of twins in our family that letrozole might be a better option. I have to have my ovaries scanned to see how well populated they are with eggs first before they decide. I had a test years ago and they said one of my tubes was also blocked. However my new specialist said it's normal for tubes to spasm during that test so it's possible it's not blocked at all. I'm also worried about my age, but after reading so many success stories on here for 40+ pregnancies i'm a little more relaxed about it now.
I would love to hear of your experiences

I was diagnosis end with pcos, my dr put me on metformin and now my cycles are now regular.
I take 500mg 3x day. I also take coq10, vit b complex multi vit and omega 3

If you are put on metformin take with food it has nasty tummy side effects

Good luck on your journey

Hi,

Yeah i had been put on metformin years ago during first ttc period. I can't remember why they stopped them !! I have also put myself on vitamins etc and hope they help.

Good luck on your journey too :)
