Hi ladies - sorry to butt in but need some advice?

background: 1 ds 4 years, 1 mmc at 10.5 wks (baby died 8+4), bfp both times within 1-2 months. finally bfp in june 2011 - started spotting last week, scan on frday- had baby and hb, now since monday - currently mid miscarrying:cry: (6 + 4 weeks)

Am all over the place at the moment - However, i dont feel like i am ready to give up. - seeing a consultant specialist privately on Monday.

My question is that since the last year mmc, my cycles have been "odd", in that i have been spotting for up to 5 days before full af, and af can be really clotty. I have had tests run via gp, even pelvic ultrasound (had fibroid 5 cm when pregnant with my son - this has now gone - they were "shocked" too). all my hormones are perfect levels. i wasn't perimenopausal etc since i had been pregnant recently etc

since feb this year, i have been using a cbfm, i ovulate every month, but the lp seems to shortend by the spotting. SOO, i started taking vitamin b6 the 3 /4 months bfore bfp. the spotting gradually got less, the last cycle before bfp, had no spotting and "perfect" 28 day cycle - 4 weeks later BFP.

M/w and gp told me to stop the b6, which i was relucatnt to, so i started every other day and then stopped - spotting started ??? conincidence?

I just don't know what to think, but i feel frustrated cos i really feel that there is something "not quite right" here

?? anyone got any suggestions?? thanks

I am so sorry for your lose :hugs:

I've not heard of a GP saying not to take B6 so can't really comment or help with that. Have you tried Vitamin B complex instead? Have you mentioned that when you stop B6 you get spotting?

I'm afraid I'm really not much use but I'm sure one of the ladies on here can give you more help :hugs:

:hugs: Whyme, so sorry this has happened to you again :hugs:

I'm, not up to speed on all the supplements but there is lots of good advice on here so I'm sure one of the other ladies will be able to help :flower:

Bless u sweetie. i am 37 and have had 2 mcs currently 7 weeks pregnant. i also went to see a private consultant! Thought he might harp on about my age, but he said i was in my prime! lol. He said I could spend thousands on tests but he really truly believed it was bad luck. He told me to take 75mg of asprin daily.
I have since paid for tests for hughes syndrome and altho I may not have that the INR test (you'll have to google complicated!!!) basically mine was 0.9 which is way too low, it means my blood clots very quickly!
My mw has been lovely (doc was useless!) she is sending me to a consultant who is a clotting specialist in pregnancy.
Please keep going! I took vit b complex 100 and I am still taking it! I am told that any vit b you don't need is excreted anyway.
Good look with your quest, do not give up. I believe that stress made my cycles go weird. It may be worth (if you havent already) having a day 21 progesterone test too.
My consultant said he paid no attention to fsh and all that jazz as he put it! Said he had seen women with fsh of 30 have perfectly healthy children!
GO FOR IT!!! you have nothing to lose!!

So sorry to hear about your losses, that's heartbreaking.:hugs:

I also have a doc that keeps blowing off my concerns. For 11 cycles, I was spotting 2 days prior to AF. I was convinced that it was low progesterone, we did 7dpo level and it was ok. I continued to complain to her, and she continued to blow me off. So, I made an appointment with my RE. I think my ob/gyn is great, but she clearly wasn't hearing me. I don't see how spotting for 2 days prior to your period would not be a problem for conception.

Hopefully my RE can straighten it out.

I've never tried B supplements, but I don't see how they can hurt.

Maybe try another doc and see what different advice they can offer.

Good luck.

So sorry for your loss :( Sending :hugs::hugs: your way

Hello whyme, I think it's so absurd for the drs. to tell you to stop the B6. I'm sure it's not coincidental that you were able to get your :bfp: after making your luteal long enough for the egg to able to implant better. Honest, I would go back to taking it again, at the dosages you were at for that :bfp:.
