Should I even bother? Is it likely to be a complete waste of money?

The local place is doing 50% off so its 70 quid for 5 min DVD, 3 printed glossy images and a disc with images for us to print.

I went there for an early scan at 6 weeks and they were lovely. I just don't want to be totally disappointed! Xx

I have an anterior placenta, and I have to say that we have yet to get one good image from 4d scans. We really can see more with the plan old regular ultrasound. It's specific to each baby though they say. The ultrasound techs have told us that it depends on where they are positioned, how much fluid is around their face area, and a few other factors. If you decide to, good luck to you! :)

I had a 4d scan last week with an anteria placenta and being overweight. The placenta caused no problems at all, it was the little ones hands in the way which was the problem. Here are some of my pics:

I loved every minute of it and would highly recommend it, especially if you have an offer.

You should do it! I just did mine and I have an ap and I am overweight. I wish I was able to post pics from my phone to show you. Do you drink enough water? I drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday and the tech told me that was why my pictures came out so good. I could see the placenta but it was right next to my baby's face so I was happy that it didn't block anything. How far along ate you? I am 27.5 weeks and they say the best time for a 3D scan is 27-28 weeks. I think you will be fine if you decide to do it.

I drink like a fish! I SO wish that our 4D ultrasounds came out that way (they turn it to that setting every time I have one, and I've been having them every week for 7 weeks, 2 this week alone, 1 a month from 20 weeks to 32 weeks so I feel like I've had a MILLION), and NONE of them came out very good at all. I guess we will just look forward to seeing what he looks like as the surprise since we already know that he's a boy. :)

I'm 30w so it's maybe too late. I know it's a good deal but I'll be disappointed if I spend £70 and its rubbish. DH is a bit creeped out by it, so I'm not sure he'll go for it! Xx

had one today I am overweight with a big fat placenta in the way
