Anyone have any experience/advice?

My 5 month old has started fussing during bottles and rarely finishes a feed, he's taking between 4-6oz per feed every 3 hours. It's not wind as he's had trouble with that in the past and he has gripe water. Since he started this (around the same time his sleep routine went off) he's started waking in the night for a bottle. I've sorted out his naps but it hasn't helped his feeding.

I introduced a dream feed at 11pm (last bottle is usually around 7pm before bed by 8pm) and he was taking the full 7oz then. I stopped this last night as I wanted to see if he still needed it. Sure enough, he woke at 1pm and after exhausting all other avenues (inc. water, Calpol, cuddles) I fed him. I only gave him 4oz though, incase it was this that was causing his day time feeds to reduce. This morning he has only taken 5oz for his first feed at 7am and its taken us an hour and a half.

I'm confused! He was sleeping through and finishing his daytime bottles less than a month ago, now it's a battle. I tried to wean him early but it didn't help so I stopped (the dr tells me he's ready early, I'm not so sure as he quit milk altogether when I introduced solids).

I'm worried but he seems healthy. He's followed the line for 50th centilitre since birth, 7lb 13oz at birth, 15ish lbs now. I can't wean until his milk intake is sorted out, does anyone know how I can do this? I've considered changing his routine [edited as per forum rules] but I'm scared this will make him worse.
