5th centile iugr

Been having growth scans as baby was a bit small, on the 10th centile, had another today and hes hardly grown, he's dropped to the 5th centile for weight and measurements, I'm nearly 32 weeks and hea measuring less than 26 weeks

They've booked me in for a consultant app in 2 weeks and told me to rest. Anyone been through this, what was the plan? Induced early? Steroids etc. The next 2 weeks is going to drag they didn't say much to me except they were worried about him

My little girl was IUGR.
I was monitored weekly (scan one week and dopplers the next) until the consultant decided to induce me at 38 weeks. She was born on the 7th centile but healthy.

Have you been given any clue as to why your baby is small? I had a problem with blood flow through the cord.

No they going to do furthur investigation from now on, I have a non stress test or something and a doppler and more scans

I wasnt diagnosed iugr but dd1 was tin . I lost her twin at 17wk. They both were slow growing and stealing from each other. My issue was placenta related.

They watched me. She was born at 36wk, 2 wk NICU stay. 5lb 8oz.

Have faith. There is nothing you could have done to avoid this.
My son was always measuring behind..around 8-9%ile.
The reason was blood flow resistance and i was doing what best i could.

We had growth scans & NSTs every 2 weeks..
He was growing marginally in every scan so they kept him and ultimately decided on doing a c-section as normal dlvry could have been stressful for him.

He was born at 38.5 weeks, weighing a little less than 6Lbs.
He was tiny, but perfect in every sense.
Today he is 4 and and noone can say this child was born small.

I hope it’s going well. My dd was growing good until ~33 weeks and slowly just stopped growing by 35ish weeks and dropped below 5th. I had weekly appointments. She said she suspected iugr and called the specialist (who knew me from my previous pregnancy). He said he would deliver so dd was born via csection at 37 weeks. No NICU stay. Placenta checked out fine, they said she was just small ‍ She was 5lbs 4oz. She’s fine.
