My daughter is 6 months old now and im wondering if i need to put her on the 3rd stage follow on milk formula for 6 months plus?
I give her cow and gate formula which is from birth but noticed they do a 6 month plus one.
Is there much difference?
Thanks

I spoke to the HV about this the other day.. The 6month plus milk has more iron in it. However if your baby is weaning and on a varied diet full of iron she would be okay on the milk she is on now...(She did use the words marketing money making scheme) I remember follow on milk and 6month plus wasn't around when my LC was a baby :O)

You don't need to switch but you can if you want, there's pretty much nothing in it. Probably worth comparing the packets in the shop. I think follow-on milk is cheaper. So long as your baby is having formuls I don't think it really matters which once you give x

I have recently switched to c&g follow on, i compared ingredients and they were different surprisingly! It is the same price as c&g infant but i decided to switch as i thought my dd would benefit from the extra vitamins etc :flow:

I switched at 6 months to the follow on milk.

I was told the same thing about it being a 'money making scheme' but I don't get how coz if you didn't buy that one you'd still buy the stage 1 milk so they'd be 'making money' regardless!! Am I being thick?? lol!

I was going to post the same question lol. I think they say about it being money making etc, because they are allowed to advertise it and put offers on it, unlike first stage milk. I wasn't going to switch but think I am now x
