6 Weeks, Ultrasound says 5 Weeks 3 Days - No Fetal Pole

Hello,

I am 6 weeks and 1 days today as per my sticker calculated using first day of my last AF. I went for ultrasound yesterday and the doctor record says as per my ultrasound it is 5 weeks, 3 days and no fetal pole yet. She mentioned this details in the book and asked me to come back in 15 days.

Is this normal? I am bit worried.

She saw just gas sac. No yolk sac or fetal pole.

It could be that you ovulated later than you thought, try not to worry x

I had hcg trigger shot on CD12 so should have ovulated on CD14 not sure how this calculation works.

I only had gestational sac at 5w0d. At 7w0d I measured 6+6 and saw HB.

It is possible you ovulated later than you thought or implanted later. I would not worry yet....give it 2 weeks. As long as you aren't bleeding, it's likely ok. Not unusual to see very little at 5-6 weeks. Try to relax and wait for that next appointment before jumping to conclusions.

As Ladyhutch says it's hard to see much so early by 7 weeks you should see a hb and bean so don't worry yet

You could have ovulated late- are you sure when you o'ed? If we went by my lmp I should be like 9 weeks, however I know the day I o'ed so I am 7 weeks on Sunday- went for my first ultrasound at 5weeks5days and measured to that day. We saw the sac, fetal pole and HB. The tech said if we had been in even a day before we wouldn't have seen it and even then we saw the HB early. I wouldn't worry if I were you, just give it a week or two and I'm sure you will see little bean! Good luck!

I saw only gestational sac at 5w 1d.
saw yolk sac n hb at 7w 1d,
so completely normal

also, if it was abdominal scan, then chances of not seeing much in detail are highee. trans vaginal is better in early pregnancy

Just wanted to update so that anyone who checks this thread later while researching for similar issue.

I just had a ultrasound scan last week and everything is normal. I saw heartbeat and doctor said everything looks perfect so do not worry may be 6 weeks is bit soon for some babies.

Yeah I was the same I was 6 weeks from lmp and was only gest sac and yolk sac. But this week there was a happy little bean

You could had just implanted later
At 6 wk 1 day I only had a gestational sac and yolk then the next day I had a 2.2mm fetal.pole with circulation Everything changes so fast!
