Sorry, I didn't know if this was classified as a complication, but thought I would post it over here just incase it was lol! First off, I'll say that since 28 weeks when the MW measured my fundal height 5cm, I've been having growth scans and the scans showed baby was measuring under average. In my notes my fluid measured 9cm and then 10.2 cm. Nothing was mentioned about fluid until last Thursday at a scan. This scan showed baby had a growth spurt and now measured over the average line (even though my bumps still basically flat haha!) but the fluid was 6cm. After the fluid was discussed with the consultants and MW's etc, they decided everything was fine and not to bring me in for another scan. They said it's on the 'lower side of normal' but is still okay to continue without any checkups? I know fluid is ok if it's more that 5 and less than, ??, sorry dont know the figure. But to me I thought 6cm of fluid sounded REALLY low? :/ But surely they would have got me in for another scan if they were concerned? Has anyone had the same problems? x

Yeah 6cms is fine hun... less than 5 is considered low but if they were concerned about it they'd be scanning you more often to keep an eye on things (mine was 5.5cms last week)

Try making sure you stay well hydrated by drinking plenty as this encourages the fluid to increase and if you are worried, mention it to your midwife who will be able to reassure you xx

Over 5 is ok but your number is still on the "lower" end. I'm really surprised they aren't doing a follow up scan. There is a post about this condition on this forum, you can read it here: https://www.babyandbump.com/gestational-complications/203964-oligohydramnios.html It has some good info.

it says on my notes normal depth of liquor 40 - 80 mm mine is 84 so gotta go see consultant 6 days before due date, xx

hi huni... im new to here but might be able to give a few answers...
as i actually found out that answer today whilst in hospital..
basically anything between 10cm and 3cm is normal... i only know this as my waters started leakin fri... so hav had tests, checks and scans to check lo is ok.
hopefully this will assure u that everything is fine. xxx
