Hello ladies, going out of mind last night I had some period cramps , went bloated and when I went to the toilet and wiped there was red blood, not lots and lots but enough to think aghhh, 2nd wipe there was some more. Within an hour period cramps all gone and its just dark brown? This morning its dark brown too. Im on progesterone 400 mg twice a day (rectally) does this cause spotting? Does it sound like implantation at all? Has anyone else had this.

Have you taken any home pregnancy tests yet? I didn't implant spot and my bleeding was an indication of early mc but that was 13dp3dt. So it seems early for you still to me. If you haven't taken a home test yet I definitly would.

I'm not doing IVF (yet) but I've been on Progesterone (morning and night) my last 2 IUI cycles. The first time around I had dark brown spotting for 1 day before AF/red blood arrived (the spotting started at 13dpiui) and the last cycle I had dark brown spotting for 2 days before AF/red blood arrived(spotting started at 12dpiui). Both times I hadn't stopped the Progesterone at all, so it didn't hold my AF at bay (I understand it does for a lot of women).

I really hope this isn't it for you though - surely it's much too early? I think Progesterone can affect everybody a little differently so it's difficult to know and really is just a waiting game. Thinking positive thoughts and sending you lots of luck

It may be worth ringing your docs to see if this is normal or not?

Ive not done any pregnancy tests yet, official test date is thursday so Im going to wait until then. Im thinking it probably is something to do with the cyclogest and its my period being a slow starter. I just dont get why its doing it because I have never in my life had spotting before the start of my period. Oh well

Some women have spotted and had successful pregnancies, so you wont know really until Thursday. Good luck and keep us posted fx'd

I am praying it isn't AF for you, but still felt like I had to tell you that I'd never had spotting before my AF in my life either until starting the Cyclogest. Like I say though, I am praying it's good news for you

Turns out it must have been my period trying to make an appearance, started turning bright red last night and full on period arrived today.
