6w4d scan no fetal pole

Hi,

I've just had my scan. I am 6 weeks 4 days and my dates are right cos I was using opk's. There was the gestational sac and yolk sac but no fetal pole. What does this mean?

Had miscarriage in April so really worried. Had brown spotting on and off throughout. Please help.

Sorry you are having a rough time. I had spotting at 5,6 and 8 weeks with this baby, and i got scanned at 6weeks 3 days and i would say yours looks very similar to mine

I have heard of other ladies whos baby's havent had fetal poles having scan a week or two later and baby being fine.
Were the people who did the scan worried. Are they going to scan you again?

She did seem a bit concerned just because of previous miscarriage. Getting scanned again next week. Thank you so much for posting your pic. Did you see a heartbeat at your scan?

Yes i did get to see baby's heartbeat, but i know many ladies who didnt see heartbeats until 8weeks. I was told they were reluctant scanning me so early as they didnt think they would see anything this early

this may reasure you a bit hun https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fetal_pole it says some fetal poles not viable until 8 weeks.

i had a scan at 6wks and was same as yours, no fetal pole just gestational sac and the yolk sac, i then had a scan 2wks later at 8wks and the change was amazing, we saw tiny baby and hb altho we couldnt tell head from bum lol. i am sure u will c ur baby on next scan xx
