I introduced solids at 6 months, rice or oatmeal cereal mixed with breast milk and then started introducing fruit and veggie purees, sweet potato, banana. She picked it up really fast and was sometimes eating a whole container on one sitting, but now she doesn't want anything but breast milk. I thought it was just a phase but it's going on a month now of not eating solids and I don't know if I should be worried? The research I've been doing is really confusing, some say its okay to ebf for a full year others say bm is not enough after 6mo and can cause nutritional deficiencies and a fussy eater later in life? I usually nurse her first and then like 30 minutes or so later try giving her solids because I thought you were supposed to give them breast milk first, but should I try giving her solids first now? Has this happened to anyone? What did you do?

I usually waited closer to an hour between milk and solids.

Are you trying to feed her or have you given her things to feed herself with?

I've heard of EBF up to nine months, then introducing solids. Breastmilk really is nature's perfect food

Keep giving her breast milk first. Does she show any interest in your food as you are eating? I plan to let LO introduce himself to solids. So whenever he decided to pick food of our plate to eat it

I think you can feed her solids first and try give her something interesting(colorful or cute shape) to grasp. Also, she can sit in a baby chair watching parents how to eat.

My LO didn't eat a thing until she was over 8 months old and even then it was super hit or miss. She was on mostly breastmilk with very small bits of solids until she was 15 months old.

Her doctor was completely fine with it as she was still nursing frequently and gaining weight. She's 4 now and has no issues with food.

2 of mine didnt eat solids till they where 19 months, they didnt want anything else. Tried, Both great eaters though. And healthy.

My girl started on solids quite well, but went through a super fussy stage between 7 and 9 months. She was very hit and miss as far as eating went in this time and for a little while would only eat cheese! I persevered with offering food but didn't try to force it or worry too much. She regained her enthusiasm for food around the 9 month mark and now at 10 months she eats four decent meals a day as well as having four breastfeeds.

Echoing what others said: try giving her something she can feed herself with. My daughter started refusing the spoon around that age, she wanted to do it herself. Even if they just taste and play with food, it's helpful to them because they're learning new skills and gaining understanding of the food. Cucumber is easy but truthfully I let my daughter hold and taste broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus - she didn't eat much of it but it made her interested in food. Plus there's research showing that this is the age where even a small taste of something makes them more likely to enjoy it later in life too.

Food before one is for fun ;)

BM only is fine all the way into the second year. As far as I have seen on mothering and at LLL it does not result into fussy eaters either.

My son started playing with solids at 12 months and began eating small meals at 16. He ate all healthy foods and decent size portions while still nursing. It was great :)

Babies are very instinctive. Maybe her digestive system is not quite perfect yet (it begins maturing at 6 months) or she still has a gagging reflex that turns her off. You can keep offering but I would not worry if she sticks to bm for now as she is still really young.

My LO didn't really consume much of anything until 12 months. We did blw from 6 months and she wasn't really interested, she much preferred BF. It seemed to click quickly though once she got going at one year old. I wouldn't worry about it, just follow her lead.
