My 7 month old daughter used to jump at loud noises and sometimes cried, though she got over this as I'd laugh them off to show her not to be afraid.
Just recently she seems to have developed a new fear of appliances that make noises. For example, she's scared of the hoover (was never before), our toilet flushing, electric toothbrush, hairdryer.....
Has anyone else experienced this? She's also just got a baby walker. Loved it in the shop, terrified of being in it at home, especially when we show her it moves! She shows genuine terror when she's frightened, it doesn't seem to be just an attention thing.
Please tell me this is a phase she'll grow out of!!
