7 months post c-section

Hi everyone. It's been 7 months since I had my ELCS and it's all been going great so far. Lately though my scar has been very itchy to the point where it's driving me nuts!! The areas still slightly numb and I'm a bit squeamish so I havnt really inspected or touched the area much. I had a good look while I was in the bath earlier and it's bright pink, and seems raised, particularly on one side. I get the odd twinging pain from time to time but nothing major. Has anyone else had or having a similar experience?

I haven't experienced this, but I would go to the docs to get it checked out! Sorry I can't b of more help xx

Sorry I can't really help but I would suggest as PP has, maybe get your gp to look at it.

I had this, at about the same time too. I was told that it was normal. It did it itch like mad for a while but en faded away again. My scar was a little bit red (but think this was from me scratching it), but wasn't anything to worry about.
If you're worried though, id definitely get it checked out by your gp x

Yeah with my emerg CS I had that fr quite a few months after, and that scar was always raised and pink, my first elective my scar was much better. The surgeon said to me that its just the way some people heal.

I still get the odd itching and yup still numb and its been 15 1/2 months since my 3rd CS!

Thanks guys if iy continues I'll definitely get checked out. I'm applying vitamin E oil which seems to soothe the itching. Blondie007 I also think it's red from the scratching lol as it seems to have settled a bit!
