7 weeks after MC and still no AF

heyy ladies, so i had an early MC 7 weeks ago (natural, no D&C required) , hCG <5 after a week and a bit ... was told to expect a period in the next couple of weeks since my hormone level dropped quickly. Soooo abt a week ago now i took 2 pregnancy tests both with a very faint pink line , like u had to hold it a certain way to see it, it was that fine , BUT.... this was after abt 20 minutes "/ so it was outside the time frame, anyway was just wondering if any of you have experienced waiting on AF this long after a MC ...

Mine took 7, nearly 8 weeks to come. I was getting worried, but suppose it just takes a while sometimes.

I would give it another week and then go and see GP if you're worried.

its really pissing me off i was suppose to go to the docs this morning but i slept in Grrrrrrr lol... because i was so early on in the pregnancy when i MC , and my hCG dropped quick , im just confused why iv not had one, we started DTD straight after the bleeding stopped, fingers crossed xxx

I asked my doc last week how long it takes for AF to return and she said anything upto 12 weeks, and many people dont even ovulate until after they their first period since M/C. Good Luck.xxx

Hiya,

I had a m/c at 10.5 wks on 4th July so almost 7 wks ago. Doesn't look as if I OV'd from my temps altho lots of varied CM, started spotting today and got the low back and tummy ache so hoping this might be AF.

It's so frustrating isn't it , you just want to know what your body is up to and to be able to move on again - feel for you

Fergie in two days it will be 9 weeks since my MC. I lossed at 6 weeks naturally and i know that i'm levels dropped really quickly too. I'm seeing a fertility specialist cause i have had 2 losses this year and hhave long cycles usually between 35 and 39 days. I have to call him today to see wwhat my next course of action is. i have taken FRER tests and they have comeback negative so i don't think i'm pregnant. I know how you feel about the waiting and the not knowing. It sucks it really really does. if i get some answers i'll let you know. i would say to go to your doctor and ask for a blood test or something cause being stuck here is just crappy.

thanks yeh i know hat you mean , like u want to know were u are , whether uv O'd or not just so u can get bk to normal and start a fresh TTC , do let me know how u get on , and i hope yous get ur BFP soon to every one ...X

I ve had 2mmc's both with ERPC. With first af took around 6wks to show then with the second af took 6 months! I was getting really worried never been so pleased when finally got af although very light. Hope yours doesnt take that long. I suppose it can take varying times for peoples bodies to get back to normal. But its just frustrating when all you want to do is get back to normal and start again x

Hi Fergie, after a MC, sometimes even when hcg levels have dropped, your body may not Ov again right away. Also did you take another preg test yet, you said you took some a week ago?

mine took 9 weeks to come, and then i waited another 17 weeks for my 2nd af. im now on CD28 waiting for the 3rd af...

i would deffo go to ur doctor, ive been soo many times in past few weeks. had a scan and everything was normal, had bloods and they dont think im ovulating. havent had a positive opk yet. and ive FINALLY been referred to gynae =)

heyy ladies ,, iv not been on the comp for a couple of days , wellllll .... TODAY i went to the bathroom and noticed brown discharge on my pants , so i wiped and nothing there , and still now , 13 hours later nothing , not even a spot of blood .. was sick yest and today , and had mild headaches today ... im also s'pose to be 8dpo - ( i never knew this lol ) ..REALLY HOPING!!

Hi Fergie, I will be following this and really hoping you get some good news soon.
I am also still waiting for first af, had an erpc nearly 7 weeks ago. Feels like I've been waiting for ever!!

I know they say they aren't very accurate in this cycle, but I got a positive opk about 9 days ago so am hoping that by this weekend af will show up or (fingers and toes crossed) a bfp.

Its got to the stage that I almost don;t mind which, as along as something happens!!
I was pregnant at the same time as 2 other friends, all due within 4 weeks of each other. Their pregnancies are going really well, which is great, but seeing them getting bigger just breaks my heart. Then my other really close friend, who I can really confide in, announced at a girls dinner party on friday that she is pregnant too. Again, am so pleased for her, but the waiting to at least to be able to try is so hard. I seem to spend lots of time looking at the calendar and wishing days away which is terrible.

Hi, not sure this thread is still running but just wanted to say that af has now arrived, exactly 7 weeks after erpc.

Feeling a mixture of relief and disappointment.
Really looking forwrad to trying again properly next month!
