7 weeks and bleeding

Hi I'm 7 weeks into my first pregnancy and I've had mild period pains from the start. Last night I noticed some brown blood on my pants and it scared the hell out of me but looked it up and found that most brown blood is old blood but when I went to the toilet a few hours later and wiped myself it was quite red! This scared me even more. I am booked in tomorrow for an early scan.

I just want to know if anyone has ever experienced this and what the outcome was weather it be good or bad. I am a nervous wreck. I also haven't had any morning sickness the only symptom I have is that my breasts are a little sore.

So sorry you are going through this hun I wish you the very best with your scan hopefully the bleeding means nothing bad and will sort itself out. In my case with my 2nd pregnancy I bled around 7-8 weeks and had an emergency scan turned out everything was fine we saw the heartbeat it wasn't until I went back to our 12 weeks scan they picked up an mmc the baby stopped developing at just over 9 weeks. The statistics for mc lower after you see a heartbeat so we were just extremely unlucky again. Many women here have a bit of bleeding and go onto have healhty pregnancies good luck

Its the worst thing ever as soon as I saw blood I just thought miscarriage and broke down love my baby all ready. The bleeding has stopped so I'm just holding on to hope now thanks you xx

You sound like you hare having exactly what I did, not truly bleeding, spotting at most. I had a scan and everything was fine, they told me that it was the placenta embedding in the uterus and starting to take over. they said it is VERY common at 7 -8 weeks. Also my doc told me that 1/3 of women spot/bleed during the first trimester and he also said that the colour of blood didn't mean anything.

I'm sure all is fine, easier said than done mind you

Thank you hun I'm so worried I have started to bleed again the cramps are not sore either so that's a good thing. I will keep you posted on how I get on tomorrow thank you for the reassurance x

For sure.. it was pink/red when I wiped for awhile then brown on my underwear and such. My doc actually said that the baby was reading too many text books.. because it was text book for that stage. I called and the first thing she said was "you're 7 - 8 weeks right?" and I said yup and she said oh yeah that's just the placenta embedding, no worries.... easier said than done. she sent me for an ultrasound just to ease my mind.

I have had a really big red bleed at 7+3 and all was ok, I know it was not spotting, but even red blood and lots of it doesnt mean the worst. You have done the best thing and got a scan booked - Hope all goes well and try not to worry too much xx

Its good toe get some reacurions although my baby was not planned I love my baby so much all ready me and my partner are so happy but I know I have to aspect the worst just so I don't get let down! Thank you hun I will keep you all posted how my scan goes tomorrow x

Sadly they could not find a heart beat and my baby had not developed properly me and my partner are helping each other through it and have decided to go back on the contraceptive pill and wait to try again next year x
