I feel like that last 1/4 of a baby's first year is a huge time of transition. It's a time when a baby feels notably different from the first portion of the year and you begin to get glimpses into what your baby will be like as a toddler. It's a huge time of transition. The baby is no longer a little baby but not quite yet a toddler. Many are even starting to walk or may even say a word or two. It's just amazing and exciting. Leo doesn't do it consistently, but I've seen him sign "more" and "potty" in context, so I know he's working hard at learning language. He also loves to eat food and won't let anyone eat without sharing with him, he's working to begin cruising, and he's learning to use his voice to communicate. In a few short months he's going to morph from baby into little toddler and it's going to be amazing. I'm really looking forward to it.
