My DD is now 8 months old. She rarely smiles and will only do so when she hears music (but not very often). She does not smile at me even when I tried so hard like making funny faces and sound. She does not look at me when I call her by her name and will only do so if I make some weird or funny sounds but still won't smile. She dances to music, again without smiles on her face.

She doesn't look at me when I breastfeed her and eye contact is quite poor but she does look at me and reaches for me when she wanted to be carried. She sometimes play with my face, trying to touch and feel my nose, lips and eyes.

She used to babble mama and dada for a few days last month but has completely stopped and is now back to cooing only. I feel very anxious, please help.

I don't have any experience with this but you shoudl definitely speak to your pediatrician about your concerns. I hope you get some answers soon!
