My 8 month old baby has started really preferring my right side, and gets a bit fussy with me on the left. I'm not really sure why? My right side has always produced more, and there have been times he's preferred it when he's really tired, but never like this?
It's seemed like I can only feed him on it peacefully once per day right now, and then he just fusses the other times until I switch him.

Has this happened to anyone else around this age? Also, his gums seems swollen and he's drooling more, so I think he might be working on getting his first teeth, could that have anything to do with it??

My LO has always liked my right side. I noticed when pumping that it comes out faster and there is more of it on that side so that is probably why. Babies like the easiest/fastest way to get milk, lol.

If he continues to prefer one side it shouldn't be a big deal as long as you make sure to pump the other side. My sister gave in to her son and didn't pump and now that he has been weaned for 2 years her breasts are STILL lopsided (not sure if that happens to everyone, I only know it happened to her.)

I always offered the left side first (the side she didn't like) and also when she was falling asleep or really tired (too tired to care) I gave her the left side. She still prefers my right but will eat from the left too.

Good luck! :)
