My husband and I have been trying for 8 months - no luck as yet ..very depressing :(
Tried charting, I also started taking Vitex as I read it helps regulate hormones. Visited my GYN , she said everything seems normal but yet no luck :(

Any suggestions?

I understand your frustration...it is such an agonizing wait. Do you get EWCM? If not I highly recommend preseed as I fell pregnant first cycle using it. Opks can help time bd'ing so you don't miss the boat. Charting really only tells you after the fact.

Hello and welcome! You said you tried charting, are you still charting? If not, keep it up so you can continue to track whether or not you are ovulating regularly. OPKs can be very useful tool in helping you know when to time sex. Also are your cycles regular? I ask because I have read stories from women who have regular cycles and start taking vitex only to have it mess up their cycles. Vitex is generally only recommended if you have irregular cycles or a hormone imbalance.

How are you timing sex currently? If possible, you may want to have sex every 2-3 days after the last day of your period just to make sure you are hitting your fertile window.

I have also been ttc #1 for 8 months. Unfortunately I have not ovulated and I can confirm this with temping, charting and using OPKs. I am taking Women's Balance by Gaia which has vitex and black cohosh to help regulate hormones. I am not ovulating or having regular periods so that is why I am taking this supplement. Also, keep in mind it can take a healthy couple 12 months to conceive. I am at the 8 month mark as well and I think it is BULLSHIT, I want to be pregnant four months ago! But alas, here I am on BnB TTC forum searching for support and offering support to others. I noticed this is your first post. I highly recommend reading through other threads, posting replies and offering support to others as well to generate some good will and positive karma.

Good luck!

I know how you feel, I'm at 9th cycle although I did have a chemical last cycle which was the 8th. But I've been on this forum since cycle 2 so I've been with a lot of women that are still TTC with me, which helps a lot, so I definitely encourage you to join some of the threads. Everyone on here says that everyone else makes it sound easy but it's because people actually don't often talk about their fertility struggles with friends or family. So don't be discouraged, just chat with us and you'll see that everyone has struggles.

I also agree with PP that you should try to continue temping if possible. Temping has helped me a lot in figuring out my cycles. My cycles are actually very regular, but I noticed two distinct temp patterns every other cycle, and figured out that my two ovaries are probably behaving differently. I also found out about my chemical last cycle mainly because my temps stayed high on 12DPO when it usually drops off, so I got a faint BFP on 12DPO on two diff brands. But I started spotting the next day and AF was late by only a day. I think if I had waited for AF, I wouldn't even have known that it was possible for there to be a fertilized egg. Btw I'm not proposing early testing at all, but I'm just saying temps may tell you a little bit more about your body.

Good luck :flower:

Hi vsnj

You could try using OPKs to determine when you O. Otherwise BDing every 2-3 days after AF may be a good plan since you're sure to hit a few fertile days that way.

It can take up to 1 year to conceive and still be considered normal and you have a 15-20% chance each cycle. If you haven't conceived within 1 year, you may want to swing by your GP and get you and your DH tested to see if there is any reason why you're not conceiving.
