8 weeks & no smiles :(

My little man will be 8 weeks tomorrow & he's not smiling. He was born at 37+5 & hsd a traumatic pregnancy putting it mildly but a great delivery with no issues. He literally slept the first 6 weeks & was rarely awake. He will copy me & stick his tongue out but thats it he has smiled but literally a handful of times & not at me unless he is windy. I'm scared something is wrong with him xx

He was Early at 37+5. Count the 6-8 weeks from his due date pls. And he has smiled right, handful of times. That's how it begins. They don't just break into smiling all the time..

My babies did seem to smile early but they were few and far between for the first month or two. I wouldn't worry too much and just keep modelling the behaviour as much as possible until he picks up on it and does it back.
