So my 2 recent favourite girl's names have been Stephanie and Kayleigh and my Dds middle name is Jennifer so I have accepted I have an inadvertant thing for 80s names and I want to see what else is out there I might like so suggestions please and opinions please on mine and any othets, don't worry about offending ive learned that opinions on here vary so massivly its impossible to be offended.

Rachel Louise (at one point 14 girls out of 19 in a class had this name, it was madness)

nearly every girl had Louise as a middle name though

In my pe class we had 5 Amys and 5 Lauras....... I always wished I was more individual hahaha

like my brother his name is Chay and everyone immediately knew him where as I was then known as Chays sister!!! And I am 4 years older than him

I'm a joanne and always one of several in my peer group - I think it was dying out by mid 80s though.

Most of my catholic school friends had the middle name marie the non school friends tended to have the middle name Louise.

Other names I have lots of friends with: Rachael, Laura, Sarah, Michelle, Claire, Rosalind (although I think it's more unusual generally I had 3 friends and know 2more!)

Is it only girls names?

Lindsey/Lindsay is another 80's name I just remembered, knew a lot of them. Like others have said most of my friends had Louise or Marie as middle names. Girls names Terrie and Toni also seemed to be popular back then too, had a few friends with those names. Sarah was another one, although I don't think that was just in 80's, think that was pretty popular from 60's-90's x

oh and in the UK Levi was a popular girls name in the 80s... not super popular but enough for it not to be odd (never met a boy called Levi though)
