I posted a month or so ago about chronic pain that i got on cd1 and how it nearly made me sick.

Well this morning i got that same pain again,l lasted 20mins or so and i couldnt move, thing is this time im roughly 4-5dpo so no where near my period? why am i now getting mid cycle pains, and its not just a cramp it was bloody horrible!

Could you maybe have a cyst? A scan would confirm (and cysts usually resolve on their own)

Cysts cause pain when they rupture or haemmorhage much like you describe.

have you had a lap done ? i get these symptoms and have severe endo

thanks ladies, no lap done as they didnt see it necessary awhile ago when i was first having investigations, i had a HSG which showed all is fine.

Sugarpuff, do you get these symptoms at certain times of the month?

i get really bad pain during the first few days of my period, 24 hours of excruciating pain at ovulation, then a few days of no pain (woo !!) before i start getting a build up of pain again around 5dpo which pretty much lasts until the day before my period when it kicks up a notch again :(

apart from a solid mass on my ovary (which they thought was a teratoma originally), my hycosy showed that everything was fine. it was only when they did a lap and dye a few months later that they realised what a mess i was in and had to convert to laparotomy to get everything as good as possible

i should add that my symptoms were a much more mild version originally of what i have now, but the days that they happened were the same

have they removed all the endo? im really annoyed that i wasnt given one, the next step for me is iui and im due back to discuss it, i shall mention these pains thanks chick

i think they got rid of most of it, i'm not really sure to be honest. i'm waiting for the full post surgery report to arrive (i only had the surgery in feb 2009 !!), they gave me pitiful information after the surgery, but i was so glad to get pregnant shortly afterwards that i couldn't care less, it's only now that the symptoms have got worse (and have been ttc again for 14 months) that i have managed to get them to send me the report (i asked 4 months ago and they denied that one existed ?!) but my gp read the report out to me on monday and is posting a copy out to me. the endo was far worse than i realised :(

i would definitely pester for a lap, it may show nothing but it can pick up a whole host of other things that they might be able to treat, so it's certainly worth having xx

Hays - could the pains you're getting be IBS? I get severe cramping occassionally causing me to be doubled over and unable to move, there's no regularity to them and its normally when I've eaten something that has caused IBS to flare up. Just a thought?

Carebear- I used to suffer badly with ibs.but it pretty much went away about a year anf half ago. I wonder if its flaring up again? Weird tho as the pain was as soon as I woke up,and last time it was as soon as I woke up accompained by my period??
