8days late and need some advise

Hi everyone, I am currently 8days late, not to sure if I should take a home test as 2 years ago I was over a month late and it was due to a cyst. I have no symptoms of pregnancy, I’ve only had a lot of discharge and slight back ache. Can anyone advise me if I should be concerned or take a test.
