8dpo and Pos OV test....

So ladies,
I'm on CD 31 today and 8 dpo. My period is due in 6 days.
I've had dull cramping the last couple of days and some browny cm today.
I've just done an OV test and it had the faintest line.
Anyone else ever done this and then gone on to a BFP?

why do u use an ovulation prediction kit to detect pregnancy?

hi honey im 13dpo and still do opks just in case i got it wrong when i ovulated so i have asked the same question because i had the same as you a faint line on all of my opks. apparently some women always have a faint line due to having a low lh amount in their bodies but if the line goes dark as it does when you are going to ovulated then that can mean that your pregnant. hope that helps honey x sylvia x

and i just read that opks are not as sensitive as a hpt. i was hoping the same as you as i have a faint line on opks every day and they are all the same no darker or lighter. x sylvia x

just read some more and bit of good news as it says that opks can give a false negative even if you are pregnant its all to do with different types of hormones so thats something honey x sylvia x

the line on opk, needs to be as dark or darker than the test line, if you get a faint line, (which 99% do) it's a negative not a positive. the two line need to be equal colour.
You should not use a opk to determine pregnancy.
