9.5 months, can't crawl, trying to move legs when standing. Anyone else?

Our 9.5 month old absolutely will not and cannot crawl. He gets very angry and frustrated on his belly very quickly, but he loves standing against furniture and has recently started trying to move his legs while he's doing this. He will hold our hands and take a couple of steps too. Is anyone else in this situation? Is he likely to walk before he can crawl or maybe just never crawl? I wasn't expecting this

My DS never crawled. He cruised at 8 months, took a few independent steps at 10 months and walked a week after his birthday.

Does he have reflux ? It could be very uncomfortable on his belly. My niece had it and started bum shuffling then quickly walked never really crawled.

DS never crawled, started cruising around 10 months walked at 14 months. DD started crawling at 5 months!

My son didn't crawl until 10.5 months. Was crusing before that and finally walked around 16 months. I worried and worried, but now he's a crazy toddler that never stops.

I even talked to his pediatrician, he wasn't worried either.

My Lo was cruising from 9 months but didn't crawl or bum shuffle till she saw other babies doing it at 13months. One month later she walked and never went back to crawling - it just wasn't her "thing".

My third-born walked before she crawled. She was not interested in crawling at all. She wanted to be upright like everybody else.

My LO just started crawling a week ago yesterday and I had wondered if she would skip the crawling and to straight to walking, too! She wasn't/isn't doing the things that your one is doing with standing though, although she can weight bear She bum shuffled for around a month before crawling. Funny how different they all are...but who knows, there's still time, he could still crawl!

My son is about your son's age and has not crawled either. Loves to stand against the couch and also takes steps while holding my hands. He can stand unassisted for a little while too. He is doing the rock back and forth while standing now. I think he is working on his balance. He can stand up by himself if he is sitting on my lap on the floor. I was worried about the not crawling for a little while but now I realize that they are all different and some crawl and some don't. Not a big deal at all.

My oldest sister never crawled, just started walking at 9 months, so it's entirely possible. Apparently me and my other sister were not so advanced and crawled...didn't walk till we were a year...stupid overachiever

I never crawled as a baby, went straight to walking. I think it's normal.
