9 days after c-section lots of pain on right side

Hi everyone. I had my baby 9 days ago and I am starting to be in less pain but this one spot on my lower right side hurts so bad. It feels like a burning sharp pain. It mostly hurts when I move or put weight in that leg. That side has always hurt the most but it seemed like it was getting a bit better. Now all of a sudden, it hurts like heck and I cry out in pain sometimes. Is this normal to hurt this late after the surgery?

I am also 9 days after like you! I had a burning pain on my left side especially when I stood up. Turns out my wound was infected. I've been taking antibiotics since Monday and the pain has stopped. Has a midwife or doctor seen your wound recently?

Not since I was at the hospital. Did it look infected? My wound still looks pretty good. I'm kinda worried about the internal stitches though. It has bugged me ever since the surgery. I asked my dr while I was in the hospital and she said it was normal, that they sometimes use tools to hold you open and that could be why I hurt more there. I'm just concerned that it is something worse because of the pain level still.

And can you believe our babies are over a week old already?

I thought mine was fine when I got home from hospital but when the midwife came to my house and checked it, she saw it was weeping clear liquid. Maybe ask a midwife to come and check it or see your GP for reassurance. This is my second section and I didn't have so much pain with my first.

Yes time is flying by. I have a 23 month old as well and it does go really quick!
