My son has been sleeping through the night since he was 6.5 months (he was a sleep disaster from 4-6.5 months). 5 nights ago he started waking once per night, and since he had been eating a lot more than normal during the day, I assumed it's a growth spurt and hunger waking him up. I fed him, and he was only able to fall back asleep in our bed. It's been the same for each of the last five nights. Last night he was way worse. He goes to sleep at 7, and went down fine. He was up at 11, 2, 4, and 5. He woke for the day at 630 (I fed him at 11 & 5). He was able to go back down in his crib each time at least, but it just never lasted too long.
I'm guessing this could be a combo sleep regression/growth spurt/teething situation. I'm just wondering how long this sort of thing usually lasts. He knows how to put himself back to sleep, but I don't want to just let him cry if he's actually hungry due to a growth spurt. Do I wait until his daytime eating seems to calm down too?
We are leaving in 10 days for his first trip. We'll be flying and staying in hotels. I'm not going to let him CIO while we are in a hotel, so I'm worried after two plus weeks of waking/traveling his sleep is going to be really messed up!
Any advice?
