9 week old taking 25-30 oz a day. Anyone else?

My boy started with a tiny appetite and I was so worried that he wasn't eating enough. Health nurse said he wasn't gaining what he should in the first couple weeks.

Now at 9 weeks he eats 6-7 times a day and takes 5-7 oz per feed. Is this right? Now I'm wondering if it's too much? I've always fed on demand and the 3-4 hour rule. I also feed on very early cues becaue I was always so worried he wasn't getting enough.

I'm trying to go by the "happy baby wet diaper good poo = good feed" rule. But I've just read some threads on babies who are 24 weeks and more who are eating 30 oz. Do I have an oinker or am I stuffing him or is it all good?

hopefully ur not overfeeding him cause my 4week old takes 24oz a day!
this is the amount that the tin recommends for his age,but more importantly it is the amount that suits him.hes nice and full after a feed and he goes 3-4hrs inbetween.if hes full he pushes away his bottle and wont take anymore.

Hello,

,y 6 week old takes 6 x 6 oz bottles a day - the little chunk!!

He's gaining weight fast but in line with the percentile he was born so HV and doctors say he's doing well! Hes also on hungry baby milk!!

If baby didn't need it you'd soon see it again all over your couch!!

Its very hard to overfeed a baby, if they have drank too much they tend to chuck it back out! xxx

Mine did. He's now 21lb at 5 months. You just have a big baby! The problem I have now is that it's hard keeping up, he'll take 20oz overnight alone.
