first and foremost, does anyone have suggestings for something i can do for acid reflux?
it's really severe, and makes me miserable all day and keeps me awake at night.
TUMS eases the pain but it's still pretty bad.
second, and this is mostly just something that bothers me,
how can i get my friends to understand that no, i don't have the energy to do all the things i used to.
i get tired really really fast, and my friends get mad about it.
also, i don't deal very well with high energy people lately
and my friends are young and immature and frequently really hyper
and they get upset if i'm not high energy.
and then of course is the belly rubbing, which i've just now told them bothers me, so hopefully that won't be an issue much longer.

anyway.
most important thing is the reflux
i just needed to see what people thought

for the acid reflex maybe try some plain kinda biscuits, like digestives or rich tea or crackers ... it helped me.

as for your friends i can't give much advice other than try explaining to them that you don't have the energy anymore but maybe you could all meet up and do something that requires less energy? cinema maybe? You're 15 if i remember correctly (sorry if i'm wrong here) ? but i know alot of people that age who aren't immature at all they just like having fun and a laugh, obviously i don't know your friends so i can't make a judgement but if they are all around the same age as you 14/15 then they might not understand the physical implications of you being pregnant (other than the fact that your belly grows).

you're also 20 weeks, which is when i was the most tired (so far) and my energy has picked up since then, i eat smaller meals more often and that tends to keep my energy up more and pretty constant so that might help you too.

hope i've been able to help

Ice cream & yoghurts really help my acid refluc, I've heard milk is good too.

Just tell them you don't have as much energy, try asing them to come over your for a movie night or something? Thats what me and my friends do, or if I go to my sisters I get a bus there and back and we just talk and stuff when I'm there - nothing too tiring.

I always drink milk. It really helps for it. I can't stand plain milk though so I chocolate milk works just fine for me :flower:

I'm around your age (15 in October) and I have the same problem with the belly rubbing. It's mainly my brother and sister now, but I know when school picks up my friends will be doing that. As for the hyperactivity, you could try, like divershona said, going to the movies or somewhere you can't be too active. I'm not much of a help, I know but :hugs:

I always eat a small bowl of plain kinda cereal(like rice krispies or cheerios) then take tums. If I don't take 3 tums it does nothing for me and even then it's not completely gone, but it does help a lot.

I have a problem with reflux too :( the key is dry things like toast, biscuits absorb the excess acid in your stomach or things that will neutralize the acid like milk :) I hope it settles for you.

tiredness is something that can't be avoided in pregnancy and being tired is your body's way of telling you that you need to rest and for you and your body's sake you should :) fruit is good for giving energy but try not to worry about it.
