Now i know all babies are dif as they are individuals, but generally speaking, what age are they likely/expected to start to sleeep through the night? Amelia is 7 weeks tomorrow and isn't going through - she will feed about 10/11pm, sleep till around 3, feed and then sleep till 6 - 7am when she wakes for another feed. Does this sound about right for her age or should she be going longer?
Also, Amelia is not able to soothe herself to sleep yet - is that normal? Thing is, she has reflux so i need to hold her upright for about 30 mins after a feed - she generally falls asleep in this time so isn't really getting much chance to self soothe.....
For those who have little ones that do put themselves to sleep.....how did you teach/encourage them to do it? On the times i have attempted it with Amelai it has been a disaster - is she just too young.....i don't know
