Ladies, I am tentatively knocking on the door here, looking for a bit of a new home. Have been over in TTC for far too long now and things have not exactly been going our way.
The thing is, we have actually fallen pregnant twice (been trying since March 08 ) only to lose both babies, the first a MMC at 10 weeks discovered and removed just before Christmas 08 and the last a couple of weeks ago in what was a suspected molar pregnancy (thankfully it now seems not to have been). We do have a two yr old daughter, (who was born with cancer, which is also of concern in our quest as there may be something genetic there) but she is now thankfully clear, and OH had a previous miscarriage with his first wife.
Oh is 40 and me too in month or so, so time isnt exactly on our side. My husband has also had a fairly bad series of results from SA with morphology being dreadfully low at 3 or 4 %, and because of all of this, and the history with our daughter; we are now officially under investigation, seeing our FS for the first appointment in a week and a half, to find out the results of the histology on our last pregnancy, and see if that sheds any light on why
We are officially waiting at the moment, as I, a/ am still recovering from my second ERPC and b/ we need to see what the FS says. After a couple of weeks of not even being sure we are emotionally strong enough to try again, we are slowly coming round too the idea that we will, if our investigations and support network can help.
I hope that I can join you ladies and share our journeys, as I just simply feel lost anywhere else on the boards nowadays. Im aware that by actually getting pregnant previously, we may not be truly long term trying to conceive, but having a baby is certainly proving to be a long and challenging journey for us, and we arent any closer than we were 14 months ago. In fact we feel a heck of a site further away, since discovering our problems and potentially needing help in one or another form.
I know some of you well already from TTC, and have quietly been reading other journals for a while here now, as I have been there and done the clock round a few times in TTC.
Thanks already to the few of you who have been encouraging me over here ..for those of you I havent yet met , I hope all our journeys will be short, but look forward to the time I get to spend with you
