This is really for moms that nursed only, no bottles, I'm just wondering about something. Me and my DH were talking the other day and we were remembering back when our older 2 were younger, when we gave them sippy cups of anything (I'm really talking toddlers, like 1-3 I guess..even sometimes now at their ages 4 and 6 though we have noticed), they would just suck it all down in one sitting. Whether it was water, juice, milk anything. They've gotten better now most of the time and with meals will sip on something, but at times I'll give them something and it's gone 2sec later. My oldest was ottlefed from 1mo on. Casen was breastfed but with bottles too. Well Hayden is the opposite, no bottles, no nothing besides actually breastfeeding until over a year. We did offer sippys of water with meals once he started solids though. Well even now at 21mo he never just sucks down a cup of something. He drinks things with meals or he will sip on something between meals but we never just hand him a sippy of milk and he sucks it right down. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with how they were fed. Like you hand a baby a bottle as their food and they drink it right down, and then that carries onto toddlerhood...kwim? Where as Hayden only was ever offered the drinks besides actual breast, with meals and now he drinks what I would say properly. Now it really doesn't matter either way, it's not a debate about how you feed or anything, I'm just curious if anyone has found the same? I guess it could be a question for both sides...just how does your toddler do now with drinks like that and how were they fed? Just curious...I wonder about weird things I think haha
