Hi

just dropping in here, I just found out I am pregnant again, with my 4th, im 36 and this is my first pregnancy with my new partner, all my other kids are with my ex husband, my new partner has no children so we are really excited, im only 4 weeks today.

It already feels a bit different than my last pregnancys I found out at 9 dpo with evening pee and got a positive with clear blue digi at 11dpo, so far I have had mild cramps but main werid feeling is a sort of heavy werid feeling low down that I dont remember from before, maybe its coz I am older now??? lets hope its just streching,

anyway just thought i would introduce myself :)

Hi Jo
I'm also 36 and having baby no 4 with my new husband! Nice to meet someone in such a similar situation! x

hi how far along are you. And are your symptoms any different than with your other babies x x

Welcome! I'm 36 also ... it's baby number 1 for me.

I'm nine weeks, has been a totally different experience. Partly cos my next youngest is 11 so have forgotten how to be pregnant! I'm surprised at how much I've bloated this time and I'm that much more paranoid about every little twinge. I've been pretty nauseous too which is similar to when I had the boys, with Daisy I wasn't nearly so bad. Fainting has been an issue this time maybe that's cos I'm getting on a bit compared to last time! x

i have a 15 9 and 6 year old. This time i have found out very early. But already different. No sore boobies not much nausea but lots of tiredness also strong positive results really early and the thing thats worrying me is like a heavy almost sore womb hard to explain. Just hope its stretching due to old age lol. Glad its not just me thats different this time x x

Hi! Im pg with my 6th, I kinda wish I had a new hubby lol,..(joke) well, sometimes  Whole other thread though!! :D

Im about 5 weeks, I also found out at 7dpo, but then I thought I mc'd cuz I got bfn for a few days, then I was feeling sick so I tried again and it was bfp :) I've been getting Alot of cramps, and heavy feeling, and Im so bloated it's embarassing!

sounds just like me heavy bloated and crampy. I have never known so early before now i know why my boyfriend told me to wait lol. Really want to do my other digital but am going to wait till sunday. Also when did you ladies go to doctors. Not sure when to go but i was heavily diabetic last time so not sure if i should get booked in

I just called my dr today actually, just to order some bw for hcg, and I have an apt to see him on Friday. I was kinda wondering also when to call him, but then I decided the best thing to do is to just go see the dr, and he will tell me what to do. Also I dont feel very comfortable with my pg until I know everything is ok. Since you've had diabetes, I'd say call ur dr soon, just if not only for your own piece of mind. xxx

Hiya
I phoned the doc about 5 weeks and was told to ring my local midwife who has been brilliant. Had a booking appointment at 8 weeks which co-incidentally is usually when they check your blood glucose levels! That can be done any time tho if you are showing sympyoms of diabetes particularly excessive thirst which is a good indication of hight blood glucose. Sorry my professional side is peeking out...I'm a nurse and I work a lot with diabetics! Hope that's helpful! x

Thanks Ladies

and Suzie, thanks for info but my prob is last time I was insulin dependent for quite a few months, until I was induced at 36 weeks as my sugar was so high, but I never had any symptoms, no sugar in my wee no thirst no nothing the only way it was found is becasue my 2nd baby was huge and he had a shoulder dystocia and becasue im tiny 5ft and he was nearly 10lbs they checked my glucose on my 3rd pregancy and I failed the test :( my worry is I usually check my blood once every 3 months or so after brekky and its usually 4.5 or so, checked it yesterday after brekky and it was 8.7 :( :( so not looking so good already. Anyways will give dr a ring tommoz to see what they say :) :)

HOLY CRAP! 5 ft tall and a 10 pound baby! Please say you had a c-section!!

nope lol they got him out but wow i was in a mess lol my next one just fell out ha ha ha

That's a big baby! I was tested for gestational diabetes after my first who was 10lb 4oz ( I'm a bit bigger than you, 5'5") and yes fortunately he was delivered by c-section. Unbelievably a passed the test turns out I just have massive babies, my second was 2.5 weeks early and still weighed 9lb 2oz! And I agree you should go get your glucose checked sounds like its starting to creep up. Good luck with that! x

:haha:

Sorry shouldn't laugh but the idea of the next one falling out was very funny! Might I suggest very strong tights for 36 weeks?! x

lol lol it wil be like its on a bungie rope ha ha ha ewwww. Im hoping in 7 years things might have now gone back to normal lol

Lets hope so! Oh you've made me laugh today, I was needing that! xx

welcome. I am 34 (will be 35 when baby comes), first baby with new boyfriend. Was married for many years--but no children with him.
