? about movements and anterior placenta over 28 weeks

I am now just over 29 weeks and have only just been feeling baby move during the day. Before it was just at night litterally as i went to bed for a few minutes, now i am feeling more and more.

I am sure everything is fine, when your worried sit/lye down and have a cold glass of water or something sugary and really try to focus. Even woshy kind of movements class as movements, they dont have to be kicks. :hugs:

i feel her lots one day and the next not as much (she very active and hyper most times and kicks 8x in 5 mins sometimes) she doesnt have a set routine as everyday is different and when she turns i think the placenta makes her have quite days sometimes?

i think having the anterior placenta can make more worries (and makes it harder to know if its a kick or a punch)

i was able to feel her early and thought the placenta would not let me feel for a long time :s

I thought that too, I was worried I wouldn't feel her for ages but I started feeling very lightly around 17 weeks. NOt every day or anything but I knew it was her :)

I did not feel my baby move as much in the morning as I did at night and sometimes she was a little quiet at night time. It can be worrying, I know, but one thing that always worked for me was to drink ice cold water and in about 5 to 10 minutes her movements would pick up. i was always able to feel at least 10 movements in about 30 minutes after doing this. If you are at all worried you should talk to your midwife or doctor.

I have an anterior placenta and she moves some days more than others, I had a long ultrasound the other day and she was moving and i couldn't feel her but every now and then she'd do a BIG movement and I'd feel her... so it made me feel better to realize because the placenta is in the way she has to do a really big one to make me feel it :) im 27 weeks tomorrow :)

i have an anterior placenta as well and i have a hard time with the movements (especially considering that my doc. just told me i should feel my baby move at least 10 times every 2 hours, if not to call them right away). I don't feel him move every 2 hours...sometimes I only feel him move early in the morning and late at night and that's about all. Some days he moves a lot and some days he hardly moves at all. It's hard to know what's right with so many opinions out there

I know what you mean, the kick counting guidelines are different for everyone it seems.

My dr told me not to monitor until 30 weeks as it was "too early". I said forget that, if I think something's not right that's up to me....

My sister was told to start at 28 weeks, they even gave her a booklet and chart.

I agree with the morning/night movements. She seems to be lulled to sleep during the day! Night time I can usually count on a good amount and so far this morning I've felt at least 10....

Oh the stress! I can't wait till she is here and outside of my body. LOL
