Last year i left a job(home carer), and went to another one thinking it was a step up on the career ladder (nursing home) only to realise it wasn't any better. So i decided to leave this job and go for a council position, only to be told that my home care job wont give the council a referance. I thought this was wierd because they had given my nursing home job a referance, so why wouldn't they give my council one.
When i spoke with the company they said there was nothing wrong with my employment and that they just opted out for giving a referance because they were busy and were fed up of carers leaving them. Like it was my fault
What gives people the right to decide whether they mess with your future because they are having a bad day? or year?
I had worked for this company for a year and worked hard, for them to just opt out giving me referances because its not conviant for them?
why cant it be that referances have to be given regardless of behaviour, just a little summary on the particular person for the next employers to take into consideration throughtout the interview process?
they also said i should come in a discuss a position with them isnt it victimisation or discrimination?
what rights do we have as employees to stand up and say we worked hard even though we cant prove it?
ladies i need help what do i do
