Hi everyone,
I'm copying my post from 1st tri.

I'm 9+3 days pregnant. Yesterday I had some blood when I wiped. I went to the ER and they said baby was OK, but they didn't see the reason for the bleed. They gave me progesterone. Today I went to my doc and he said that it's a slightly abrupted placenta (8x3mm). He gave me even more progesterone and said I need to stay in bed. He also said that I can't fly on Wednesday (was supposed to return from Europe to Canada). I'm seeing him again on Thursday.
I'm so worried. It's now a high-risk pregnancy and I've been reading online that it could end in miscarriage.
Has anyone got any success stories? I'm so upset. It took us 2.5 years to get pregnant :(

If they haven't checked for clotting disorders I would request that they run that panel. Clotting disorders can lead to abruptions.

I had what they said was an abrupt ion at 13 weeks with my 4th son while on a plane so had to be diverted to Portugal wouldn't recommend it!! I was kept there for 4 days in a hospital bed then they signed me off to fly home I had another big bleed at 25 weeks and was given steroids but he stayed in there until 39 weeks and had a normal delivery he is now 3 1/2!! I have had a big bleed with this baby too at 15+5 and they say it could be due to a low lying placenta im now 20+5 and have spotted since the big bleed but it doesn't always end in miscarriage so hopefully you will be ok xx
